Academic Director: Colin Munro

Born in London, England, Colin has been living in Paraguay since 2009. He holds a degree in Film and Video Production and began his career in visual effects on films such as Harry Potter. In 2006, he founded his own video production company called “Quirky Motion” making music and corporate videos.
Colin then studied English language teaching, earning a CELTA qualification in Oxford in May 2009. He started working at the Anglo in Paraguay before launching the English Language Club in 2010 and then Pro-Performance in 2012.


Director of Sales and Services: Sergio Lahaye

Born in Asunción, Paraguay, Sergio moved to England, at the age of 10, where he finished his secondary education in Bath before studying Hospitality Management. He worked in direct sales with npower, MBNA, Sainsbury’s, Tesco’s and the Nationwide Building Society. Sales led him to work in Tenerife, London, Birmingham and Barcelona before returning to the catering industry, managing a restaurant in Epsom. Sergio then returned to Paraguay in 2004 whereupon he began teaching English and working as a freelance translator and interpreter. In June 2012 he launched Pro Performance and joined The English Language Club.

Commercial Director: Ed Egglishaw

From Jersey in the British Isles, Ed has been living in Paraguay for 3 years. He holds a Political Science degree from the University of Bristol and has always liked studying and teaching humanities and the English language. He is an experienced chef and has eight years business, marketing and public relations experience in the food and beverage industries as well as strategic management and consultancy work in sales, logistics, telecommunications and tourism industries.
Ed was President of JCI Jersey Chamber in 2006, when their Enterprise Education Programme won the World Award for Business Development from the International Chambers of Commerce.

Business Manager: Alex Sharman

Born in Tasmania, Australia, Alex has an honours degree in Economics from the University of Sydney. He then worked for Accenture, a global management consultancy with offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Chicago. Between 2002 and 2006 he played rugby in Scotland, England, the USA and Spain. He has been living in Paraguay since 2006, where he begun teaching English at Berlitz and Stael Ruffinelli.
Alex has also taught English Literature and Economics at Saint Anne’s College and Trinity School. He joined Pro Performance and The English Language Club in 2013.
